So 90s. I love ‘em.

The interior absolutely sucks though.

They’re a great deal. My mom has got one headers back, it’s so loud haha. I’m not really a Muscle car guy but it’s really fun to drive as long as it’s not raining.

Truth, but so does every GM interior.

I would like a C4 with the C5 drivetrain.

Very slippery haha, may just be the tires on hers. She daily’s a Cooper S, so I think she went with something super aggressive for the vette.

I still love them and GASP I even like the C4
Only Vette’s I didn’t like were late 70s up until 82. The motors were garbage in stock form and the body’s got way over done.

My heart jumps between a C5 and a C3. I’m favoring a C3 lately.

Who cares what it makes you look like. Other people won’t throw any cash into the cost of getting the thing you want to drive, so they don’t matter.
If someone thinks your a loser for driving a C5, that someone has no business at all taking up space in your life. Drop’em.

Of that era, yes. It’s ok on a Silverado, not on a Vette. Just my $.02. I just can’t stand it, and even the cost:performance ratio doesn’t make up for it.

The C5 is probably my least liked among body styles for Corvettes, but seems to be aging quite well. Many of the ‘90ish car styles aged like milk. Even the F50 kinda looks meh. Sadly, today’s cars are so busy all the design cues become just noise instead of features. The C5 really was when Corvette started seriously focusing on handling again, something they really hadn’t done since the early 60's.

Out of budget, also a C5 would be a poor family car

Yea I agree, it ought to be better in the Corvette’s. I’ve never been impressed with a GM interior though, Cadillac included. I drove an 2016 ATS and the interior felt/looked like a Chevy Cruze with a few more shiny/carbon fiber bits.

Don’t worry about everyone else and do it. Of course, I’m also a middle-aged man that bought a RS3 Mustang so what the hell do I know.

C5 Z06 Coupe all the way. They are now cheap and if not beat on, they are great for the money.....

I’d love a C5. I’ve wanted one for a while. Make mine a FRC. I had spousal approval about 5 years ago, for about 5 minutes. I missed my 5 minute window.

The new GM interiors are miles above what they used to be. For some reason they seem to be skimping (from what I’ve read) on their upper brands like Cadillac but I am very impressed with the ‘16 Malibu Hybrid my sister-in-law’s boyfriend just bought.

They are fantastic cars, ride really nice and LS power! Plus they are getting old enough to be stupid cheap.

I love C5s. I was born in 1975, so through my formative years, the C4 was the Corvette. I saw the C5 spy shots and later regular shots in Autoweek, then actually saw one with manufacturer plates before it went on sale, and I’ve loved it ever since. I’d really like to own one now, as well.

I’ve lusted after C5Z’s for quite a while. When my brother lived in Texas he sent me countless Craigslist ads. If you’re willing to travel, you can get a Z with similar miles (at least under 20k), for the same price or less down south.
